There’s something for everyone: especially families!Gondola Shuttle – our direct Gondola shuttle operates daily between Cathedral Square and the Christchurch Gondola. Purchase tickets onboard, and see the timetable here. More about the Christchurch GondolaOur cabins seat up to four people for a comfortable and stable ride. The 852 horizonal metre trip to the summit takes around 10 minutes and offers stunning views in all directions. We can stop the ride briefly for guests requiring assistance in and out of cabins including wheelchairs (up to a maximum of 600mm in width). For frequent visitors we recommend our great-value Tram & Gondola Annual Pass – perfect for locals!The base station at 10 Bridle Path Road has plenty of parking for cars and coaches, and the summit station atop Mt Cavendish features include the licensed Red Rock Café, audiovisual Christchurch Discovery Ride, and Shop at the Top gift store – please note these close 30 minutes before the last ride from the summit station.Keen to learn more about the sights you’ll see from the Gondola? Visit our Scan & Learn site by scanning the QR codes around the summit station.Getting hereThere are a range of ways to get to the Christchurch Gondola:By car or rideshare: a 15-minute drive from central Christchurch, there is plenty of free parking in the large base station carpark.By direct Gondola Shuttle: our shuttle operates between central Christchurch and the Christchurch Gondola daily. The shuttle departs from Cathedral Square (Tram Stop 2) on the half hour from 9:30am – 3:30pm, and from the Christchurch Gondola on the hour from 10am – 4pm. Gerade für Besucher, die noch nie in Neuseeland waren, absolut sehenswert. Well worth the cost (which is a bit steep, no pun intended). Go downstairs & experience the display ride they have there too. Special mention to the staff in the gift shop, especially the lady who is travelling to Europe & Scotland soon, she was extremely helpful.
